Design Notes

It was desired to create a 5'UTR that would improve transcription from the T7 promoter, as well as enhance translation by the Vibrio natriegens ribosome. Consensus sequences for the 5' UTR of T7 phage genes were included at the 5', and sequences found to enhance translation by Tietze et al. were included at the 3'.

8 bp of the 3' sequences is taken from Bacillus methanolicus. All other sequences are artificial, or taken from BBa_K3187014
